Gas Engineering Module

This module was one out of 24 modules I created for a Gas Engineering company, looking to train new hires on the rules and regulations of the Gas Entering system. One of the most complex/time consuming aspects of creating this module was the slide titled "Natural Gas Basics" where I chose to use layers to create a video-like experience entirely from scratch. My manager really loved the creativity in my design style and went ahead to assign more modules for me to create.I enjoyed the creative freedom I was given with the creation of this learning program, as it did not only enable me strengthen my Storyline skills, but create a truly immersive learning experience for the target audience.

This module was another one out of the 24 modules I created to train new hires on the rules and regulations of the Gas Entering system. I chose to use characters to create a scenario-based experience for the learners. This gives them a chance to choose a character they want to use throughout the module. Although time-consuming, the results and feedback we got from the learners were phenomenal. It was a new and different experience that they had with e-learning, which they truly enjoyed.
Keto Diet Course
One of my first Storyline projects and also one of my favorite is this interactive and informational course on the Ketogenic diet, evaluated with a fun quiz at the end. This interaction was created for my 'Media for Instruction' class as we were being introduced to Articulate Storyline. I came up the topic on my own but got some inspiration on the template from Articulate's E-learning heroes. I definitely had a lot of fun creating this and learned some vital lessons along the way. One of which was the challenges with tweaking a template to fit your design - possibly more challenging than creating from scratch. Nonetheless, the interaction came out successful and I was voted as the best Storyline interaction at the conclusion of the class.
Good Manager Exercise
In my 'Development of multimedia for Instruction' class, we were asked to develop multimedia-based interventions and materials to be used for instructional purposes. I came up with this scenario based exercise for training employees on how to be a good manager. My content choice was based on my desire to work in a corporate setting, and my strategy in using a scenario-based exercise was because I believe the audience would be able to relate with it best which would increase retention and engagement.
Time Management Interaction
My position as an academic coach within the Academic Success Center involves coaching students to overcome roadblocks and reach their academic goals. I created this course to help the students I coach enhance their time management skills. This was after recognizing that most students had time management as their primary academic challenge. I took it upon myself to convert the hardcopy version of the Time management document into an electronic and interactive version using Storyline. This was created from scratch (No template). I presented the finished product to the Director of studies and they have since implemented it in the training program for other coaches to use.
On-Boarding training course
This is my very first Storyline interaction created for an assignment in my 'Media for Instruction' class. The topic was 'On-boarding training for new employees'. Albiet being novice, I tried to incorporate many elements such as voice narration, characters, navigation buttons and photos as I played around with the various tools I came across. My goal was to keep it simple while implementing all of the new tools I learned. Like the management course displayed above, my content choice was based on my desire to work in a corporate setting.
